Particularly readable are the seven chapters under the initial heading of General Considerations dealing with the altered anatomy and physiology of senility, the hygiene of old age, the special diagnostic procedures required in the aged, etc. The remainder of the volume is devoted to diseases characteristic of senescence and to a consideration of the usual diseases under the various systems, with emphasis upon modifications that senescence introduces into the disease picture.
